i had a friend try but it's very rare that you are eligible you need to have a real risk of death to be considered and there are millions on waiting lists everywhere. for you to be selected from the others you need to present a real case and situation to show your life is seriously endangered because the "threat" of being gay is not enough to get you asylum abroad since its an expensive process and foreign govts have limits to how many can get them per year and which kind (refugees, war, conflict, genocide)

  • Two women, one from the UAE did and they both got it and they're living abroad now.
They used to have an account on youtube but they shut it down.
Below is a link for a clip on how to seek asylum, they're in 4 parts i believe.

Your case must be strong as someone said it is better if u r out before you travel so u can give them an evidence that u r LGBT like photos with ur partner or blog etc.... like Iran gays there are not allowed to join the army so they take this an excuse and seek asylum so unless you are harmed or might be killed you will not win ur case.. for me I might travel to an eu country this summer i am thinking about seeking asylum but it will be a bad idea my case is strong and didn't finish my degree so i decided to live and come out so when i graduate i can do it.

I truly wish you the best of luck. I wonder, since gay marriage is legal in the US now, are green card petitions accepted? I read that is true on the government USCIS website but cannot find information for that here at the embassy. If an female american petitioned a lesbian gf for green card with the Fiancé form, would that work? Or would there be harassment in the embassy and cause it to be denied?

yes, if you partner is an american female she can sponsor you for Fiance visa BUT she has to provide evidence of your relationship like chats and photos and she should provide another evidence to proof she met you at least twice in the past 2 years.
but if your already married in your home country, embassy would consider this a fraud and ban you from entering usa permanently.

Haha I know I should already know all this but you seemed knowledgeable so I thought I would ask

    • No it makes sense, cuz why would u care about immigration laws in your own country? U're already a citizen so you dont have to know them
