  • That sounds like a fun idea if the group is small enough :) if it's too big then it's hard to trust everyone or get to really know people.

Isn't it hard (or nearly impossible) to find local sponsors for gay-related events usually? Maybe if each of us pitch in it might be quicker to set something like that up. But it has to be a closed event by invitation only so you can verify each person's identity and so on.

    • agree with 100% but do you think its easy to plan for it on June or July , to meet in istanbul its a safe place to be gay there and its legal and open as well so why not !!

  • Being a philanthropist for ILGHRC (international lesbian gay human rights committee) in my own experience trying to make such event is hard. not to mention the paper works, proposal and how many ass you have to kiss to get a sponsor. though the idea is good, the method itself is kinda risky. Gay rights there is not yet achieved but they are pretty open minded, though 3 out of 10 gatherings sometimes resulted in arrest and I was there trying to see the issues.

actually we can just do it here in egypt or alex or cairo. but make it an open space.. not too public nor too private, where we can prevent assumptions and bad idea from the public. for 3 months (since december 2012) i had organized 3 coffee talk, where we go to cafe in a group of 10 people (my ex bf, some of my gay friends, open minded friends) and drinking coffee, getting to know each other, and our last meeting we discussed the myth of anal orgasm and size do matters... other than the COFFEE TALK event, i did a slumber party..in my own home with my gay colleagues where we dressed in only boxer shorts or undies and we had these sleeping bags, pillows around where we talk about personal stuff, health and relationships we also watch horror movies.. and such..

sometimes, the easiest idea always the best... we just need to think 5 times ahead with 5 different types of head..

    Good luck

  • yes its quite risky in Istanbul but not as much as in cairo or alex also i have to say we have to move on and achieve something not just keep thinking of the risk !!

    • if that the problem.. why dont we go to the nearest place- Mykonos... short flight affordable and Mykonos have a gay beach, gay village and well up coming month gay fiesta... just a suggestion though... FYI it was wild... oh mykonos have this naked beach too so yeah..
