There is something that has always bothered me. Why do people more or less tolerate lesbianism, but refuse to tolerate being gay for a man. I have few theories about the subject, but I would like to hear some opinions about this, because most of the time, we live in a patriarchal society that treats men better than women, so this is a contradiction I don't really understand.
I can even see this from my social environment (I'm Tunisian) Most of my friends who are open about the topic of homosexuality would accept lesbians but not gays, I perceive this as a form of homophobia in any case of course, but is it only because of what the pornographic industry is promoting, that is it's acceptable for a man to watch two lesbians, but not two gay people, or it's okay for people to socialize with lesbians, than with gay men?
I don't know, but I'm genuinely asking this out of multiple experiences and with other's testemonies.
