Religion and Homosexuality

A+ A-

I have always known I am different, I have always known I am attracted to girls, but growing up, every religon i turned to claims its wrong, so I end up loathing myself, I even slept with guys just to see if I can, and well I hated it, sooo much, but No matter what I can't stop loving women, and so im stuck between, this phase of self loathing and telling myself it's ok, just a bit of my background im bahraini, but i come from a muslim and Roman Catholic background that is to say im a mix, im 26 years old and still haven't figured this out, has anyone found the answer to this ?

my only answer to this was to be spiritual. i just couldnt put in the energy of dealing with the "rights" and "wrongs" of religion because there's just too many different interpretations and misconceptions. i think before we believe in anything else we first have to believe in ourselves. otherwise we're too weak to grow and accept a higher power. sorry its not much help! but there is never a definite answer to this, except that in my mind god is beautiful regardless of your faith and loves us as we are.

Tackle that issue as ethical nihilism defined it by denying the possibility of absolute moral and ethical values while right/wrong are both nebulous. Values addressing are nothing more than social and emotive pressures. Afterwards concentrate the focus upon yourself and SEE WHY WE YOU HERE and never put yourself in an edged frames of social existential definitions.

Thank you for your comment, I tend to try to, some days it's ok, some days I get caught up with what's right and what's not, i can never seem to decide

  • i like to think that religion and faith are liberating so you become open to possibilities and acceptance. Possibilities that there are orientations and acceptance that it is ok.

  • I dont think you should let religion dictates how you shoud live! or how you should see yourself... they say religion is here to make us feel better to help us and stuff like that. me myself, i am an atheist, i am happy like that, i believe in good and bad, I mean religion says sex before marriage is not okay - so you moved from feeling guilty of one thing to another!
you liberate or chain yourself to whatever context is around you, whether it is relgion, society or family!
