still having trouble reconciling between my faith & identity

A+ A-

Salaam everyone,

I'm a lesbian and I've read all about how the interpretation of qawm Lout is about rape and not homosexuality. However, I'm still confused, God didn't mention that homosexuality is haram in the Quran, yet he also didn't mention that it's halal.

I feel so bad just thinking that God didn't even talk about who we are in the Quran.. Or maybe I'm wrong, I just don't have enough knowledge. .

i dont think we should spend too much time thinking and analyzing about this because we all talk about it allllllll the time (halal/haram/halal/haram) and in the end ..... does it even matter?

the relationship we have with god is very personal and the connection we make is very spiritual. if we personally dont believe we are doing anything wrong then its not wrong. we are not harming anyone at all! we are loving ourselves, and loving others. to me this is what god wants. not fighting and dictating to others what is wrong or right. leave that stuff to groups like ISIS who think they are spreading gods message at gods will and smearing his name and the name of islam.

in the end we will be judged by our good deeds not on personal details like these

we should not worry about this. people who murder others and abuse their human rights should worry but not us. we are not harming anyone by loving ppl of the same gender. thats ridiculous! i refuse to believe its haram. there is nothing more halal than love, period.

I agree that the relationship with God is very personal, and He should be the only one to judge us not other people. I wish I had it within me to be as confident as you are in who you are
