LGBT in Cairo University

A+ A-

I searched ALOT till i found this website. I was lost for so long and didn't find anyone to understand me. This is an amazing idea to find people who are similar to you. And it'd be awesome if we could arrange an outing so we could know each other and make new friends who accept us for who we are. and also break the boredom
We could arrange an outing to the Book Fair or just hang out at any cafe or restaurant in the Cairo university area.

Your comment is sad but true, KJ. Only courageous people come out publicly, the lead the hard road of change (not yet in our Arabic countries).. But using pseudonyms and comic avatars is a way to stay true to ourselves and find common interests with other people, while not risking our lives and the lives of our loved ones in this vicious society we're living in. Using pen names has been always a transition period between escape and confrontation. But one day, we'll use our names, Ahmed, Mohamed, Maria and Shereen.. We'll all use our names.

I think the entire idea of this community and forum is based on privacy and this post in particular is kind of an invitation to what happened in Cairo 3 days back here is a link http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/6455094 and no offense but you could be a guy looking to frame gay men to be arrested at a resturant or a hangout . I will suggest anyone to refrain your self to such random invites and be discreet as possible until there is a valid group for LGBT community
