Screening of the Documentary "A Jihad For Love" in Cairo
Today, Friday 6th of May 2011 at 7pm, Nazra Centre for Feminist Studies in Cairo will screen the Documentary " A Jihad for love " by Parvez Sharma.
A Jihad for Love, produced in 2007, is the world's first documentary film on the coexistence of Islam and homosexuality.
A short notification about Ahwaa will be conducted after the film screening.

Sign UpA good film. Controversial to many. Nice to see it being discussed in Cairo! A few years ago we also had a private screening of this film and others of the same theme in Saudi Arabia. Maybe we should do it again..

I saw the movie it was simply amazing and very inspiring.i don't understand how it is illegal to be gay n the mid east but still they agree to show a homosexual movie , maybe ppl r being a litlle more open minded?:) mybe there is hope?

I have never seen any feminists in Cairo.. I shoulkd have attended this one :((
There are many feminists in Cairo I think a lot of them are very outspoken online. Nice to see these kinds of events bringing some together.
